It’s incredible that with so many restaurants peppered around Louisiana, there seems to always be room for more. I’m always rooting for new restaurants when they pop up. There’s one new restaurant in Baton Rouge, Louisiana that’s making waves in the Red Stick’s culinary scene, and locals just can’t get enough of it. If you haven’t had a chance to visit Cork’s yet, carve out some time to swing by.
It’s owned by the same folks that own Cou-Yon’s BBQ in Port Allen. That place has some of the best BBQ in the state, but this time, the owners went in a different direction.

Topped with eight jumbo Gulf shrimp, this dish will have you rethinking serving your étouffée with rice ever again!
The crawfish étouffée is one of the standout dishes on the menu, and there are several ways you can get it. The baked potato is a solid option, but if you really want to step outside your culinary comfort zone, get the version with a fried ribeye-cut port chop!
Just look at this fried ribeye-cut pork chop served on a bed of rice and topped with Cork’s signature crawfish étouffée. While crawfish étouffée is typically served with fried catfish, I promise you this twist on a tradition is worth the risk!
