Hot dogs may be a staple food of ballparks and backyard BBQs, but there’s one funky, little eatery in Louisiana that’s taking hot dogs to new levels – and you need to check it out. The hot dogs served here are like little works of art, and they taste so good, we feel confident telling you that they’re worth a trip from any corner of the state.
It may not look like much from the outside, but this unassuming little building is hiding some of the best hot dogs you’ve ever tasted.
Located in Lake Charles, Botsky’s opened in 2013 and quickly became a local favorite. The industrial-style, counter service restaurant is comfortable and casual, and the hot dogs are going to blow you away.
With over 30 different toppings and eight different sausages, you could spend quite a bit of time trying new combinations and still not taste everything on the menu.
One of the favorites is the Flyin’ Hawaiian, pictured below. This beast of a burger is piled with mouthwatering pulled pork, coleslaw, avocado, pineapple, teriyaki, and a touch of BBQ sauce for a little kick.
