3. For those looking to protect themselves from devil, hang a mirror outside your door. The devil is so vain, he’ll get stuck watching himself and leave you alone.

4. Drop a dish towel on the floor, and it could mean that you’ll get some visitors soon.

5. To receive a present during the week, make sure you cut your fingernails on Monday.

6. Keep your eyes out for white butterflies—if you see one, that means good news is coming your way.

7. To keep bad spirits from your house, read the bible backwards.
