However, the history of the restaurant is much older. The legacy starts in Greenville, Mississippi in 1941 with Dominick "Doe" Signa and his wife Mamie Signa. At first, the Doe’s operated as a honky-tonk but after word got out about how amazing the steaks and tamales were, they decided to close the honky-tonk and focus on just the restaurant.
The Baton Rouge location opened in 2007 and has been a neighborhood favorite ever since.

Located on Government Street, this incredible restaurant is friendly and inviting, making it the perfect place for both celebrations and casual evenings with the family.

Their steaks are aged for at least 21 days and cut fresh daily. You won’t find that just anywhere.
