But for those who have spent significant amounts of time in the city, there are certainly some places that stand out among the crowd. It’s certainly true that New Orleans isn’t for everyone - but for those who call it home, there’s so much this city has to offer. Established in 1714, this town is the oldest settlement within the boundaries of the land bought during the Louisiana purchase in 1803. From the meat pies that were said to originate here to the amazing examples of colonial architecture, there’s truly something for everyone in this charming Louisiana town.
It's known as the "Crawfish Capital of the World," and the annual festival here is the highlight of the year for those who call Breaux Bridge home. There’s an amazing amount of charm and creativity that oozes from this tiny town and never fails to bring smiles to the faces of all who visit.
