The Madisonville Wooden Boat Festival is always a good time. I’ve been going to this festival since I was a kid, and can’t recommend it enough! Spend the day strolling the waterfront and checking out all of the incredible vendors, munching on delicious food, and listening to some good tunes. Seeing all of the boats on display is fascinating, and if you’ve got a kid who's into boats, this is a must! Be sure to check out Fairview-Riverside State Park while you’re in the area. It’s just on the other side of the river and is a tiny little park with beautiful views. Visit the Madisonville Wooden Boat Festival website for more information.

Good food, great beer, amazing music...what more could you ask for? This festival in Abita Springs always turns out a great crowd, despite being one of the newer festivals in Louisiana. The festival began in 2019 as a celebration of Abita Springs’ culture, music, and art, and has since grown into one of the most anticipated festivals on the Northshore.
