There’s nothing better than sitting down to a delicious BBQ, and even though Louisiana isn’t known for this particular cuisine, that doesn’t mean we don’t have some of the best pitmasters in the country. When you’re on the hunt for some tasty BBQ, you can’t go wrong with stopping by Big Mike’s, a BBQ restaurant in Thibodaux, Louisiana serving up some of the best BBQ in town.
If you ask anyone in the Houma/Thibodaux area where the best BBQ is, they’ll direct you to Big Mike’s.
The first location opened in Houma in 2007 and was an instant hit with the locals, but it came with some battles. Hurricane Gustav in 2008 damaged the building, but it was manageable and Big Mike’s continued serving delicious BBQ until an electrical fire a year later destroyed the building, forcing owner Mike Lewis to relocate into a gas station temporarily.
In 2011, Big Mike’s moved into its own building and it was so popular that a second location in Thibodaux opened in 2017.
The Thibodaux location offers seating both indoors and outside.
Visit Big Mike’s website for a full menu offered at both locations and make sure to follow Big Mike’s on Facebook so you never miss out on any specials or upcoming events.
