Ruston is a beautiful little city in northern Louisiana with a little bit of everything. Shoppers will enjoy strolling along the city’s beautiful Main Street, complete with several unique boutiques, antique shops, restaurants, and more. For nature lovers, you’re surrounded by three of Louisiana’s most beautiful state parks: Jimmy Davis State Park, Lake Claiborne State Park, and Lake D’Arbonne State Park. And for foodies, well, a visit to the Log Cabin Grill is an absolute must. This rustic little eatery has a menu that will dazzle your taste buds and have you feeling like one of the family. Let’s check it out:
While the restaurant has been open since 2005, the building’s history is much older. Originally a log cabin home, the charmingly rustic eatery was converted to a restaurant about 30 years ago and many believe that the cabin’s earliest resident may still haunt the cabin.
The restaurant has expanded over the years, including a small market to stock up on specialty times.
In addition to specialty pantry staples, you can also pick up Log Cabin meats and heat-and-eat dishes, so you can always have a taste of Log Cabin Grill right in your fridge.
Layers of BBQ beans, chopped beef or pork, cheese, sour cream, chives, and bacon bits served with tortilla chips... it's like a backyard cookout all rolled into one tasty dish!
And a trip to the Log Cabin isn't complete without indulging in one of their sinfully delicious desserts.
The homemade peach bread pudding is a fan favorite, using the local peaches Ruston is known for and making this one dessert that's worth the splurge.
For more information, including a full menu and hours of operation, be sure to check out the Log Cabin Grill website and give them a follow on Facebook so you never miss out on any of their specialty creations.
