Chef and owner Katie Marie Hymel grew up in the kitchen watching her grandparents cook and watching culinary television shows, knowing from an early age that this is what she wanted to do. After studying at Chef John Folse Culinary Institute at Nicholls State University, she opened Honeydoux in Destrehan and began making her dream a reality.
The tiny but mighty eatery is both a cafe and a bakery, serving up both sweet and savory concoctions.
Every morning the display case is stocked with freshly made sweets including muffins, scones, croissants, and cookies to tempt you.
