Tucked away in the hardwood forests of Belle Chasse, the Woodlands Conservancy is a picture-perfect natural area that’s worthy of an afternoon adventure.

The conservancy is dedicated to preserving this incredible bottomland forest, and they’ve created a few hiking trails for you to enjoy whenever you’d like.

There are three trails: the Bottomland Trail, the North Trail, and the Upland Trail.

All of the trails clock in under five miles, so you can mix and match to fit your schedule.
The Bottomland Trail even has an equestrian trail that runs parallel to the pedestrian trail, so if you’d like to bring along your noble steed for an adventure, go right ahead!
