Natchitoches was established in 1714, earning it the title of being the oldest permanent settlement in the Louisiana Purchase. Every year, thousands of visitors flock to this charming city to indulge in the city’s rich history, shopping opportunities, and delicious restaurants. During the holidays, the city transforms into an incredible light show that must be seen to be believed, but this beautiful city is a delight year-round, and their 33-block historic district is an absolute must for any Louisianian.
