According To Weather Forecasts, Louisiana Could Be In For A Brutal Hurricane Season This Year, Seeing Up To 18 Storms
If it’s not one thing, it’s another. Hurricane season is quickly approaching, and if the predictions are true, we are in for a doozy of a season. While there’s no telling for sure how many storms we will see or where they will make landfall, everything is lining up for one incredibly active hurricane season, and you’ll want to be prepared.

According to an outlook released by The Weather Company, the 2020 Atlantic hurricane season is predicted to be more active than previous years.

That’s a significant jump from previous years where the average for the past 30 years has been 13 named storms, seven hurricanes, and three major hurricanes.

Just because it may be an active season, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it will be a catastrophic season.

No matter how many storms form, there’s still no telling where they will hit, or if they will make landfall in the United States at all, so it’s important to be prepared either way.

Even a tropical storm can wreak havoc if it’s slow-moving and drops a ton of rain, triggering massive flooding.

Stock up on the essentials as the season draws nearer, have an evacuation route planned, and chat with your family so everyone is on the same page going into the season.
