Formerly a Go Ape complex, this outdoor adventure is now called Zipline Kingdom and is a hidden gem in the Louisville area.
Tucked inside Jefferson Memorial Forest, you can reserve your chance to give this adventure a try from mid-April through the beginning of November. It truly is a unique experience in the trees and perfect, even for beginners.

Safety is top priority here and even if you're nervous, your guide will make sure you are comfortable and confident.
This 3-hour interactive experience is available for those in decent physical condition (you should be able to climb a rope ladder), and you must be 10 years old, 55 inches tall, and under 285 lbs. This is not your average zipline in Kentucky, as there are many mini-adventures to have throughout the guided tour.
At Zipline Kingdom, there are 39 different activities during your tour. These include Tarzan swings, a zig-zag suspended bridge, rope ladders, a log swing, a plank crossing, a half trapeze, a net tunnel, and even a "flying carpet."
You are safely attached to a line the entire time as you make your way through the forest.
This is an exciting experience in the spring and summer too, but you can imagine the overwhelming beauty of zipping and climbing through the colors of fall.
A bulk of your time will be spent 30 feet above the ground in the trees and you'll also have the chance to zip from tree to tree, which it turns out is much more fun than walking.
Zipline Kingdom is open weekends and it's best to reserve your time slot ahead of time. It is $45/person for the tour and if you happen to have a Kentucky Kingdom season pass, you can purchase a ticket for half price!
