When discussing favorite types of food in Kentucky, chicken surely is at the top of the list. After all, the Bluegrass State is known for its fried chicken (thanks to KFC), but we offer much more than this savory, southern dish. In fact, there’s a newer chicken joint in town that has been given the honor as one of the Top 100 Places to Eat in the U.S. in 2020, a list created by Yelp. A favorite unassuming spot in Louisville, Yummy Pollo in Kentucky is definitely on everyone’s radar now and if you have yet to try its incredible chicken and sides, the time is now.
We love our fried chicken in the Bluegrass and it turns out we also have a big thing for Peruvian-style, charcoal fired rotisserie chicken thanks to Yummy Pollo in Kentucky. Enjoy big flavors, melt-in-your-mouth chicken, and fresh sides that are all worth waiting for, even if the line is out the door. Have you tried Yummy Pollo yet? What’s your favorite combination of sides and chicken? Tell us about it in the comments!
