I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
Kentucky is home to some record-breaking attractions, from natural wonders like the world’s largest underground cave system to man-made marvels like the world’s largest pocket knife and world’s largest baseball bat (and glove). Many of these record holders admittedly border on the bizarre, as you’ll see with today’s feature destination. In Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, Vent Haven Museum is the world’s only museum dedicated to the art of ventriloquism. It’s also home to home to nearly 1,000 dummies (no offense!) once brought to life by ventriloquists. It’s a weird and wonderful, only-in-Kentucky museum you simply must experience.
Did you know Kentucky was home to the world’s only ventriloquism museum? Wonders never cease! Vent Haven Museum is currently undergoing renovations and is slated to reopen in early 2023. In the meantime, be sure to follow along on the museum’s Facebook page for updates and photos of the collection.
