I am somewhat a cliche'. I grew up running around barefoot on a farm in Kentucky.
I love writing, art, sunshine, all animals and my incredibly patient husband, who tolerates my "crazy animal lady" side.
Kentucky winters do not appeal to everyone, but to those who love the chill of the air, they are perfect. The snow and ice glisten in the sun and the moonlight. Jack Frost may be nipping at our nose, but he does make things a beautiful spectacle during the process. Many members of my own family love the winter season. It is one of the many reasons they chose Kentucky for a homestead.
Here are 13 reasons why you shouldn’t dread our winter:
No matter where you are in Kentucky during the winter months, there will be some beauty nearby. If you are in a big city, then usually a park offers a beautiful view. Even the city can be pretty blanketed with snow. It just gives us all a different perspective. What are your favorite things about Kentucky winters?
