Washington Square Cafe is located in the heart of historic Burlington, Kentucky.
It actually has an interesting history, itself. The brick building dates back to the early 1800s and was the residence of Joseph Graves, a prominent citizen in the area. He actually served as Boone County Sheriff from 1820-1822.
Things look a bit different in Burlington today, but you can still sense the history.
Washington Square Cafe sits near other historic sites such as the Tousey House Tavern and just down the street is the Willis Graves Bed & Breakfast. And of course Burlington is also home to the popular Burlington Antique Show.

The Burlington Antique Show runs one Sunday per month from April - October. But you don't need to wait until then to visit Washington Square Cafe.
The restaurant is worth a visit on its own and while known by the locals, remains a bit of a hidden gem. The cozy interior and friendly service are just two reasons to pay it a visit.
