There’s nothing better on a hot summer day than splashing around in a wave pool or sliding down some wacky slides at the local water park. Kentucky actually has many water parks throughout the state, some of which we featured here, and one of the favorites is SomerSplash Waterpark in Somerset. This crazy fun, summertime destination has it all and is the perfect spot to cool off on a hot day. If you’re looking for one more exciting adventure to have this season, then head to Kentucky’s wackiest water park that will make your summer complete.
SomerSplash Waterpark is located in Somerset and is chock-full of wacky water adventures. From thrilling slides to a relaxing lazy river, summer isn't complete until you've spent some time at this fun-filled waterpark.
SomerSplash is open May 26 - September 3, 2018, and includes acres of fun in the sun. It's well laid out with plenty of space to relax and enjoy all of the features of the park.

The wave pool is one of the main highlights and allows you to escape to the ocean without leaving Kentucky. It's also the perfect spot to relax on a tube or lounge in a nearby chair.
The lazy river is also ideal for relaxation and is one of the longest in the state. Float on your own tube or grab a double with a friend and cool off in the most "chill" way possible.
And, when it's time for a little more thrill, check out any number of the waterpark's exciting rides.
There are also body slides to race down, a speed slide, and a 40-foot-tall tube slide that is sure to get your heart racing.
The youngest visitors can have a blast at one of the areas designed especially for them. Since the waterslides have a 48" minimum height requirement, tickets for younger guests are actually less expensive, but they can still splash around in their own wading pool and kiddie play area.
When it's time for a break, consider renting one of the park's brand new cabanas for the day. For $40, your family can have their own designated space for the day with shade, chairs, and great access to all of the fun.

For the ultimate in summer fun, also keep SomerSplash in mind for 4th of July fireworks. This year, the display takes place at 10 p.m. on June 30th, 2018, which would make a great day to spend at the park and top it off with an incredible show.
