If you weren’t a fan of camping or enjoying the outdoors and all it has to offer, chances are you are a fan of it now. Never underestimate the power of true rest and relaxation in the natural beauty of the Bluegrass State. Campgrounds in Kentucky, from massive and amenity-filled to small and rustic, are some of the most popular destinations in the state these days and one of the most scenic campgrounds in Kentucky is HomeGrown HideAways in Berea. We’ve featured this stunning property before, but they’ve been hard at work adding even more exciting features, making this a must-try spot for anyone who needs an outdoor getaway in Kentucky.
When it comes to scenic campgrounds in Kentucky, there's no place like HomeGrown HideAways, just 12 miles outside of Berea. Homegrown is the perfect word to describe this property, as its hardworking owners have created a haven in the hills that is the definition of an outdoor getaway.
The large property is not your typical campground, but in the best way possible. If you enjoy camping for its access to the outdoors, rustic nature, and sense of adventure, then this relaxing place is right for you.
HomeGrown HideAways offers a fleet of overnight accommodations, as well as RV and tent sites. But their newest addition is downright adorable and will have you lovers of all things vintage swooning.
The campground now has three Shasta campers set up right next to each other for a unique camping experience. You can rent one of the campers or get a few people together and rent all three. Known as the "Three Little Birds," these vintage campers are as charming as they are inviting and comfortable for a memorable retreat in the hills of Kentucky.
Last but not least, the blue camper is called "Betty Bunting" and rounds out the "Three Little Birds" collection at the campground. Be sure to check HomeGrown HIdeAway's website and Facebook page, both linked below, for up-to-date rental information.
And if you want to experience this magical place in a different way, there are plenty of other options! These are all listed on the website, but options include a treehouse, a couple of unique cabins, and a newly rebuilt tipi.
The owners have also been hard at work on a building that will make a stay here even more accommodating. Here, guests can cook, do laundry, socialize, host meetings or retreats, and much more. It should be ready to go by summer!
Even with all of these one-of-a-kind places to stay throughout the campground, the main feature of HomeGrown HideAways is its natural beauty. It's undeniable and will leave you relaxed, refreshed, and ready to plan your next visit to one of the most scenic campgrounds in Kentucky.
HomeGrown HideAways has always been one of the most scenic campgrounds in Kentucky, but it now has even more to offer those who are looking for a comfortable and unique place to stay. Book a vintage RV, a treehouse, a tipi, or one of the other options, or of course you can always bring your own RV or tent! Have you had the pleasure of staying at HomeGrown HideAways?
