This underrated Kentucky park has everything you need for the perfect summer day and is so worthy of a visit.
Located on the shores of Lake Cumberland, Pulaski County Park gives you all access to the water, among many other exciting features.
Lake Cumberland is one of the largest manmade lakes in the country and the park is located on the Fishing Creek leg of it, but you can easily reach the main body.
Of course, getting out on the lake is one of the highlights of this park, and when you do you'll be surrounded by beautiful scenery.
Bring your boat, canoe, kayak, or paddleboard and start exploring! And don't forget your fishing poles, as Lake Cumberland is known as one of the best fishing spots in the state.

Pulaski County Park is also unique in that it recently added a sandy beach so you can actually walk right into the lake. This is a rare feature on the banks of Lake Cumberland.
The park has over nine miles of walking, hiking, and biking paths that include a number of bridges and plenty of natural beauty. They range in difficulty from easy to more advanced and many spots offer incredible views of the lake.
The park also hosts many events throughout the year, including Thunder in the Park, an incredible fireworks display that takes place on June 29th and July 6th in 2018.
