With varying landscapes comes a bit of danger, so exercise caution, especially when the trail is wet. The steps can get slippery and the lower section of the trail can become flooded with a large amount of rain.
Also dependent on the weather, a stream along the trail is a beautiful added bonus. And when you get close to Eagle Falls, the trail will lead you through a rocky area, to one of the most magical spots in Kentucky.

The flow of Eagle Falls varies with the rainfall, but it is still one of the most pristine natural wonders in our state. And given that it is fairly easy to access — if you're in decent shape, that is — makes it even better. On a hot day, come prepared to take a dip in the small swimming hole below the falls.
