Growing up, my parents used salt to get rid of infections, draw out poisons, and speed the healing of wounds. It burned, but it healed a lot quicker than a few weeks of antibiotics, in some cases. This is not for every situation, but the healing properties are amazing.

Store bought fruits and vegetables may look fresh and be very uniform, but a Farmer’s Market will always have better produce, unless you grow your own.

This is a real thing that is passed down from Father or Mother to their children. It is the ability to temporarily fix things without the actual part, or survive when the power is off by cooking on fire, boiling water, etc. etc.

It is not only good in beans or chili, but also in a glass of milk. Add some chopped up fresh tomatoes and you have a meal in a glass.

Spending a day out in nature, be it on a lake, swimming at a quarry, or camping, will relieve stress quicker than any therapist ever could… in most cases.

All across the state there are people who have fresh springs on their property, and those places have the best water you will ever taste. Some don’t even use city water and stick with their own wells. Words cannot describe the fresh, clean, chemical free taste.
