We love a unique overnight stay in Kentucky, and we’ve shared some of our favorites with you here. As amazing as these places are, if we had to pick one overnight adventure to recommend, it may just be to spend the night in your very own treehouse. It turns out there are many spots to do this in Kentucky, and some of the best are built and owned by The Canopy Crew. They have treehouse building down to an art, and their newest creation may just be the best yet. The Tradewinds is a treehouse retreat in Red River Gorge and this once-in-a-lifetime getaway may just be your new favorite destination.
Tucked away in the woods near Red River Gorge, the Tradewinds Treehouse is the newest treetop retreat built by the famed group, The Canopy Crew.

The crew does an incredible job of building their treehouses right into the existing forest, and any wood that is removed is used within their structures.
Walking along the raised walkways and between the houses is a truly unique experience, and you'll feel as if you've stumbled upon a magical place that's straight from a fairytale.
It's this whimsical feel, and other features you'll see down below, that make this their most family-friendly treehouse, perfect for even the youngest of adventurers.
The inside spaces are modern and comfortable and offer all the necessities, while still allowing the natural beauty and uniqueness of the treehouse to shine.
This retreat can sleep up to eight people and is perfect for six couples and even two additional kids.
There is a queen bed, two full beds, one futon, and one couch, so there is plenty of sleeping space for everyone. There's also an equipped compact kitchen, and bathhouse just steps from the treehouses, with modern features and design.
As nice as the interior living spaces are, it's the outside features of the treehouse that make it extra special. As a kid-friendly destination, imagine allowing your little ones to get down from your treehouse retreat via slide.
If you've been weary about treehouses in the past for whatever reason, you should definitely consider this new wooded retreat. Enjoy the comforts of home in a gorgeous natural setting in Kentucky at one of the most spectacular treetop destinations in not just the state, but the world.
