As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
Kentucky is filled with both naturally beautiful, rustic areas, as well as vibrant urban cores that are home to many in the Bluegrass State. No matter where you live, there’s no need to choose a favorite type of landscape in Kentucky, because we truly have it all and it’s all easily accessible. This highlight of Kentucky is on display at the newest venture by the owners of the popular Covington restaurant, Commonwealth Bistro. They aimed to bring a taste of nature, specifically Red River Gorge, to this bustling neighborhood, and they’ve done just that with Yonder. This treehouse restaurant in Kentucky was inspired by the beauty of our state and it is straight out of a fairytale.
Commonwealth Bistro is an aptly named eatery in Covington that honors the culinary, social, and natural beauty of Kentucky.
They say they are "Historically Inspired, Locally Sourced," and that is just the beginning of a proper description of this fabulous restaurant. The atmosphere here gets as much credit as the flavorful, seasonal menu, and any visit must start with a reservation in the dining room.
But once you've experienced a meal at Commonwealth, plan a trip to the rooftop to Yonder, a new treehouse-esque bar and gathering spot that's just upstairs.
This inviting and relaxing space does not feel anything like the urban, go-getter vibe of the streets below. Rather here, you're enticed to sit back with friends, enjoy a drink and a bite to eat, and imagine you're in the heart of scenic Red River Gorge.
