Bourbon is a commonly used word in Kentucky and as much as locals appreciate it, it is also a big part of tourism for our state. If you’ve ever traveled the Bourbon Trail in Kentucky, chances are you spent time in Bardstown, the Bourbon Capital of the World. There are many well known spots to visit in this charming town, but there are also a few unofficial places that are worth a visit. One of the those places is Toddy’s Liquors. Recently called “The Best Bourbon Store on Earth,” Toddy’s combines excellent customer service with an enormous selection and you’ll want to add this to your own version of the Bourbon Trail in Kentucky.
Toddy's Liquors first opened in 1960 and was purchased over 30 years ago by the current owner, Guthrie McKay.
It's located in the heart of Bardstown, which in case you didn't know is the Bourbon Capital of the World. It has earned that right as a must-do stop along the Bourbon Trail in Kentucky and the town is also filled with charm and history.
In fact, right across the street from this unassuming liquor store is a historic site.
A one-room school house sits directly across from Toddy's and it is one of many historic sites in the town. Locals and tourists alike love Bardstown for its history - and for its bourbon.

If you're in a hurry but want to see if Toddy's has what you're looking for, they also offer a drive-thru.
The owner and staff are perhaps the most knowledgeable people on the subject of bourbon and they will patiently assist you with your selection. Whether you're a seasoned bourbon fan or just have a taste for it, they will satisfy your needs.
Toddy's specializes in bourbon and whiskey and they welcome special orders and requests.
They also offer bulk discounts and wholesale case prices, if you're interested in a larger purchase. But if you just want a bottle to enjoy at home that won't break the bank, Toddy's can help you with that too. In fact, these are some of their favorite requests.
