Located in Florence, Kentucky, within the locally outfitted Friendly Market, The Colonel’s Creamery is dishing up innovative flavors, along with the classics, and a dish of their sweet goodness is to die for.
The Northern Kentucky location of The Colonel's Creamery may be a bit tricky to find, but once you do, you'll be in ice cream heaven. This tiny shop is located inside The Friendly Market, which is tucked behind a Kroger along Mt. Zion Road in Florence. The market itself focuses on small, local business that sell high quality items and The Colonel's Creamery fits right in, perhaps even stealing the show.
The flavors at the Creamery vary by season and by what concoctions the Colonel has come up with. Colonel Don Lambert has been making ice cream since he was a child and after nearly 25 years in broadcast communications management, he decided to pursue his ice cream making passion.

The ice cream is made with the freshest ingredients, many of which come from the fields of Kentucky. Several of the flavors are inspired by the Bluegrass State and incorporate bourbon, along with names such as The Colonels' Darn Hot Brown and Winner's Circle Dutch Chocolate.
You can choose to enjoy your ice cream in a dish, on a sugar, cake or waffle cone or even in a pint container to take home. This award-winning ice cream is amazing no matter how you scoop it.
There are many reasons to visit The Colonel's Creamery time and time again, but the main reason is the constant change in flavors. The classics are always available but you should just go ahead and plan a visit for each season to sample the freshest homemade ice cream around.
