On May 19th, 2018, the magical lantern festival known as The Lights Fest will take place at the Marion County Fairgrounds & RV Park, about an hour away from Louisville.
This interactive festival is based on the traditional of releasing lanterns as a symbol of luck, prosperity, and happiness. Each participant will be given a paper lantern and a marker to write down a wish or goal.
The Lights Fest is committed to being an eco-friendly event, so all paper lanterns are completely biodegradable. The lantern launch will also only take place with permission from the local fire authorities.
