Kentucky could easily be considered the festival capital of the country, thanks to its numerous fun-filled events held throughout the year. We love to celebrate in the Bluegrass State and we will gather together in the name of food, cars, music, bourbon, and this March – craft beer. If you are at all familiar with the craft beer scene in Kentucky, then hopefully you’ve already heard of Tailspin Ale Fest in Louisville. This March festival is held inside a historic airport hanger and it’s an absolute blast. Tickets will sell out, so take a closer look and make plans to visit this exciting beer festival in Kentucky.
Tailspin Ale Fest returns to Louisville this year as the top local beer festival in Kentucky.
In fact, it's been named a Top 10 Beer Fest in the US by the USA Today Reader’s Choice Poll. This year's event will be held at historic Bowman Field on March 7th.
Bowman Field is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year and this historic spot is the perfect location for a craft beer festival.
The historic atmopshere also has a modern feel, a combination that pairs nicely with the concept of a craft brewery. Even if you don't enjoy beer or if you'd like to be your group's designated driver (your ticket is only $15!), you'll still love the lively atmosphere of the festival.

Some of the city's best food trucks will be on hand so you can relax with a delicious treat. Another option, especially if you choose to ride the shuttle bus to the event, is to grab a bite to eat before or after the festival near your chosen bus stop. You can find more details on the shuttle bus on the event's website.
In addition to tasting some of the best brews in the state and country, there is plenty of entertainent at Tailspin.
Snap a photo with friends in the photo booth, play a yard game, or listen to live music on the MainStage. You can also enjoy a unique Silent Disco, as shown in the photo above.
The festival also highlights its location with historic planes on display, perfect for photo ops.
