Kentucky is a beautiful state that offers many unique adventures. Even if you can’t make it around the world in your lifetime, you can still have incredible experiences right here in the Bluegrass State. Kentucky Down Under Adventure Zoo in Horse Cave is a favorite destination for many to get up close and personal with so many animals, including those from Australia. As we watch the news of so many animals being killed and put in harm’s way on the other side of the world, many are wondering what they can do to help. Kentucky Down Under has stepped up to support the Australia Zoo and you can be a part of it.
Surely you've seen the heartbreaking photos and video coming from Australia as fires sweep through the continent.
The animals in Australia are especially impacted and it's said that half a billion have already been killed. With so much devastation, it's going to take a lot of support to help and protect these incredible animals.
Located in Horse Cave, Kentucky Down Under Adventure Zoo wants to help.
Throughout the month of January, the zoo will donate half of its proceeds to the Australia Zoo to aid their efforts in helping the animals impacted by the fires. If you've ever wanted to visit, now is a great time to plan a day trip.

You may not have realized that this unique adventure zoo is open year round.
You will enter into an enclosed area where you'll be able to get up close to kangaroos and emus. Staff of the zoo will be there to give you information about these fascinating animals and you can also purchase food to feed them.
