I am somewhat a cliche'. I grew up running around barefoot on a farm in Kentucky.
I love writing, art, sunshine, all animals and my incredibly patient husband, who tolerates my "crazy animal lady" side.
Once you visit Kentucky, you’ll be astonished by the surrounding beauty we are blessed with. The Bluegrass State is one with nature and has an incredible variety of rivers, forests, lakes, and rural areas. We have spots that appear as if angels took a paint brush and created vast scenes of overwhelming loveliness. The lay of the land here is a good enough reason to have a proper amount of southern pride, and most residents do.
Here are 10 breathtaking photos that will remind you why Kentucky is a great place to call home:
This incredible natural arched bridge is located in Parkers Lake. The view is from the natural arch trail, which loops around giving a variety of scenic looks at the area.
This gorgeous view is taken from part of the beautiful Appalachia Mountain formation. The contrasting forest changes from shades of green to rich reds, golds, and oranges during the fall season.
This beautiful country scene looks like it could be a painting. Instead, it's just a view of our rolling hills and grassy pastures. The red barns make a great contrast against the sea of green.
This gorgeous garden in Lexington offers a variety of scents and colors to visitors. The colors alter with the seasons, as do the variety of flora. This is a literal aroma therapy garden.
This is an actual scene in Oldham County. No touch ups, no photoshop. This is just an image of pure, majestic Mother Nature, thanks to an incredible photographer who captured the moment.
These amazing images almost take ones breath away, so just imagine seeing them in person. Some of us can open the door and look outside at the gifts Mother Nature bestows daily. The lush woodlands and gorgeous lakes and rivers are poetry in motion, as everything changes with the seasons. What are some of your favorite show stopping scenes across Kentucky?
