If you are in Kentucky, then your year is already off to a great start, since we have such a wonderfully beautiful state. You could spend a lifetime trying to see and do all there is to experience in the Bluegrass, but for 2019, we suggest you begin with these nine destinations. If you are able to visit any or all of these spectacular places, it’s sure to be your best year ever.
Located in Versailles, not far from Lexington, The Kentucky Castle has transformed into a bucket list destination in our state. What began as a boutique hotel (which it still is), has grown into a wonderful restaurant, event space, and host of a variety of activities for all ages. Everyone should add this spectacular castle to their list to visit this year.

For the ultimate adventure in Kentucky, make plans to visit Red River Gorge. This wondrous region of our state is filled with incredible hiking trails, expansive views, and hidden gems to discover. Located in the southwestern corner of Kentucky, Columbus-Belmont State Park is a truly underrated destination. The park is a living history of the area, and the views of the mighty Mississippi River are unique and incredible.

Doe Run Lake is a hidden gem of a park in Kenton County in northern Kentucky. We can get some pretty incredible skies in the Bluegrass State, but they just seem to be extra special when viewed from this park, which also offers a scenic lake and hiking trails to explore.
