There are so many great places to eat in Kentucky that it’s easy to choose a different place for each meal…and not have any repeats for months! But, of course, when you find something you love you tend to go back over and over again. That’s exactly the case with this delicious buffet in Bardstown. It’s stocked with some of the best comfort food in the state and it’s been around so long it feels like a real part of the community.
We know that referring to anything as the best can be a bold statement, but in this case we feel pretty confident in our assessment!
Welcome to Stephen Foster Restaurant in Bardstown. For over 40 years this community staple has been serving totally authentic southern food to folks with hungry bellies and great taste.
Unlike other buffets that are only open for lunch and dinner, Stephen Foster offer lunch, dinner and breakfast which means you can fill up throughout the day.
The food here is unlimited and the prices are exceptionally reasonable. The breakfast buffet (which runs from 7-11 a.m. on weekdays) is just $8.88.
The weekend brunch buffet (from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.) is $11.39. Sidle up to the weekday lunch buffet (from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.) for just $9.58 and the dinner buffet (every night until close) is $11.68.
And each weekday you'll find a different special. Come in on Monday for the sausage, kraut and fried okra, Tuesday for the chicken, dumplings and stewed tomatoes, Wednesday for liver with onions and greens, Thursday for salmon croquets and sweet potatoes or Friday for their meatloaf and cabbage.
Stephen Foster Restaurant is open Sunday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. You can learn more about them on their website. They can be reached on 502-348-5076.
