As much as we all want to be out and about right now, it’s important (and mandated) that we keep our distance from each other. But the good news is, many people and places continue to bring smiles to our faces, despite the trying times. Kentucky Tourism recently shared a graphic called Kentucky’s Guide to Social Distancing. It is so perfectly Kentucky that we couldn’t help but share it, as well as a few other things to check out on their site to help pass the time while social distancing in Kentucky.
Spring has arrived in the Bluegrass State and while it feels different in many ways, some things remain the same.
The bluegrass has turned a vibrant green, the horses are grazing, the flowers are blooming, and the waterfalls are scattered along our hiking trails. We are still the Bluegrass State, home of Horse Country, the Bourbon Trail, Bluegrass music, and the birthplace of Lincoln.
If you can easily remember these iconic symbols of Kentucky, then you already know how to exercise social distancing - in the most Kentucky way possible.
Kentucky Tourism created this handy and smile-inducing chart so that everyone in the Bluegrass State remembers what 6 feet actually looks like. We love that it is accurate, applicable, and so perfectly Kentucky.

In a series of videos, you can basically tour our state and learn all sorts of things about the Bluegrass. There are even recipes featuring "Flavors of the Bluegrass," such as the mouthwatering grits from Holly Hill Inn, shown above.
Have a laugh at this Social Distancing Guide that is so perfectly Kentucky and then search around on Kentucky Tourism and Only In Kentucky for plenty of ideas of what to do when we are all exploring, adventuring, and dining out once again.
There is so much to see and do in the Bluegrass State and we’ll all be back to exploring soon enough. But while we’re social distancing in Kentucky, remember that “United We Stand, 6 Feet Apart,” and don’t forget to spend a little time checking out the fascinating videos from Kentucky Tourism that show off our wonderful state.
