Eating in Kentucky is one of our favorite things so it’s a good thing we have to do it multiple times a day! We have a ton of great traditional recipes to make at home, but when it’s time to go out there’s plenty of places to choose from. Rather than going to the same spots over and over again, we love mixing things up by trying something totally unique. And this spot fits the bill!
Shakespeare & Co. has two different Kentucky locations, one in Lexington and one in Hamburg. The rest of the locations can be found around the globe, so we're pretty lucky to have them right here in our backyard. Both spots a feast for the senses and the palate!
The spaces are intended to evoke a feeling of splendor, while also somehow feeling cozy and welcoming. You can almost imagine Billy Shakespeare himself sitting at a table entertaining a circle of friends.
And while the decor and aesthetic are a clear draw, the menu is just as exciting as your surroundings. There's a hearty selection of local classics, including this scrumptious country Benedict with hash brown!
While many people reserve this for a special occasion, we do recommend giving each meal a shot. It's worth it!
Shakespeare & Co. is open Monday through Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. You can learn more about them on their website or you can check them out on Facebook. You can reach them on 859-367-0413.
