Recently, we shared a small town northeast of Louisville called Pewee Valley. This tiny train town makes quite an impression, despite its size, and one of the definite stand outs is this family-owned BBQ joint, located right in town. Jucy’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Q has been delighting locals and visitors since 1994 and you won’t believe the lip smackin’ food that comes out of this rustic eatery.

Now that's obviously a very high bar to set, but this couple from Texas were set on providing smoky barbecue for their friends and neighbors in Pewee Valley. Now in business for almost 25 years, it seems that they've achieved their goals.

There are plenty of booths and tables for enjoying your meal, and the decor and ambiance are as laid back and relaxed as you can get. It's a family-friendly place that welcomes all who wish to slow down and enjoy some slowly cooked barbecue.

Using their secret blend of spices and homemade barbecue sauce, the variety of smoked meats on the menu are all incredible. The brisket is a favorite, along with the homemade sides. And don't forget to save room for their special dessert - the Cherry Delight.
