Editor’s Note: Unfortunately, the winery has permanently closed.
A trip to a countryside winery is the perfect way to spend any afternoon, and River Valley Winery is a beautiful place to visit. Of course, it gets even better when you find out that this pretty spot is also home to several llamas. That’s right – you can sip wine and say hello to llamas here!
For some award-winning wine in a beautiful setting, head to Carrollton, where you'll find River Valley Winery.
If you prefer red wine, try the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, or Shiraz. The winery also offers a delicious blush called Bobby's, after owner Vicky's dad.
These intelligent, inquisitive creatures are a great asset to the winery. They keep predators away, produce soft, sturdy fiber, and are generally a whole lot of fun.
Make sure to introduce yourself! They might show off a little for you, and some can even be pretty affectionate. Bring your camera along to capture their quirky grins.
