I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
Dining out ought to be an experience, don’t you think? And whether that means dining with an epic view or enjoying a meal at one of the state’s oldest establishments, it’s always more fun when your eatery has a little something special. Kentucky is full of unique restaurants sure to make mealtime memorable, but there’s perhaps no brunch spot more memorable than Big Bad Breakfast. Because in addition to boasting a big and bad menu sure to make your every brunch dream come true, it also has a massive, eye-catching mural out front that’s sure to stop you in your tracks.
If you're not a morning person, we understand. That's why brunch was created.
And in Louisville, Kentucky, Big Bad Breakfast is *the* place to go for this most important meal of the day... whether that's breakfast, brunch, or lunch. It's open daily from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
This old-school diner is the brainchild of James Beard award-winning chef John Currence, who's made it his mission to give "proper respect" to the most important meal of the day. And he does this properly, with a menu full of Southern favorites.
There are Big Bad Breakfast restaurants throughout the South, but we're partial to the Louisville eatery -- the only location in Kentucky, in fact! You'll know you've arrived at this big, bad spot when you spot the big, colorful, six-foot-tall mural with the funky red teapot.
And as for the meals themselves, well, they're as "big" as the restaurant's name suggests. Big, delicious plates of hearty, made-with-love deliciousness.
And what would brunch be without some libations? From Thoroughbred Tea (bourbon-infused sweet tea) to BBB Kentucky Coffee (Kentucky's answer to an Irish coffee), you'll have the most memorable, delicious, and, dare we say, baddest brunch of your life at this Louisville restaurant!
