I grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. I have lived elsewhere twice, but keep coming back. I'm a video editor and freelance writer who enjoys watching people wearing University of Louisville uniforms excel at sports, scaling the faces of large rocks, and hanging out with my border collie/laborador/cattle dog mutt thingy that I have.
Narrowing this list down to a reasonable number was the hardest thing ever. Seriously, it could feature 100 restaurants and that still probably wouldn’t cover it. However, these 15 restaurants serve some of the best pizza in Kentucky, and you should add them to your bucket list of the best pizza places in Kentucky immediately.
What do you think of the pizza places on this list? Did your favorites make it into this article? What other local Kentucky place is this awesome? Let us know in the comments!
If you simply can’t get enough of Kentucky pizza places, we recommend packing up the car and hopping on the road for our road trip to the best pizza places in Kentucky. This road trip will take you to six of the best spots in the state for a slice (or an entire pie.) We recommend breaking the trip up over a three-day weekend so you don’t get too pizza-d out. As you make your way along this trail, you absolutely have to try a Kentucky classic, the Hot Brown pizza. The Hot brown is an open-faced turkey and cheese melt popularized by a hotel, and the pizza version is a step up from the original sandwich.
If you’re chomping at the bit to take this exciting road trip, there’s only one thing you have to do first, check out our ultimate road trip packing list. You wouldn’t want to forget any critical items now, would you?
