This park is worth a visit any time of year, but it makes for a very special winter getaway spot in Kentucky. Herndon J. Evans Lodge within the park is a cozy and beautiful place to stay when blanketed in snow.

The interior will surprise you with its classic lodge design and modern furnishings. There are 30 rooms within the lodge, each with a view of the mountains. There are also several cottages available if you want more privacy.
