To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
We all need to get away once in a while and the relaxing cabins in Kentucky are a great place to do it. We covered cabins with a relaxing stay a few months back, but with so many options, adding to the list seemed like a good idea. These sweet little stays are at 16918 US 68 and offer a lot more than just a place to sleep. You will find reasonably priced fishing boat rentals and other water sport activities. This is a nice place to spend a few days with family or friends for fun.
This is an old barn that has been renovated into a 2 bedroom 1 bath stay with a 4 person hot tub. There are acres of beautiful land, a 16X20 deck, a grill, firepit and everything you need to be comfortable. You will even see a waterfall after a short jaunt up the trail. Just follow the creek. You can stay here for only $117 a night.
These cozy little cobblestone cottages have private driveways and a hot tub right outside for convenience. These aren’t out in the middle of nature, but are right in the middle of Louisville. The owners of this cabin decided to make a getaway that you can enjoy even when you can’t get away from the city.
This little cabin is nestled in the renowned Lake Cumberland Resort within the gated community. You have access to all the lakeside fun, along with hiking while staying in the lap of luxury. The image links to the rental information, which starts at a reasonable $99 per night.
This cabin on Lake Cumberland rents for $140, and is owned by the Godners. It sleeps 8, offers an incredible view, access to all things Lake Cumberland and your own bit of serenity during your stay.
This cabin is owned by the Stallons and is located conveniently near the boat ramp on Lake Barkley. It was completely renovated in 2011 to add to the comfort and serenity. There is a gas log fireplace, laundry room, and beautiful cathedral ceilings. The view is breathtaking here as well.

This cabin has new owners and is located by Wolf Creek Dam. Unlike some rentals, this beautiful getaway is wheelchair accessible. It rents for $115 and has 4 bedrooms and 3 baths. Visitors get an out of this world view and use of your own private dock if you happen to have a boat.
This comfortable cabin is perfect to just get away. It is located near a cliff and takes about a 5 minute hike uphill to reach the cabin, but the serenity if offers is worth it. It is ½ mile from the Natural Bridge State Park recreation area where you can swim.
This luxury cabin is perfect for \couples looking for a second honeymoon, or a relaxing weekend. It has a well maintained hot tub, a beautiful view and offers the quiet serenity only nature can offer. The rental got its name from the private balcony view where swallowtail and zebra butterflies gather on a jewel weed butterfly bush.
