They are few and far between these days, but there are still a few left in Kentucky to take you back in time with a classic hamburger and french fries with a chocolate shake. Take a brief escape to yesteryear at one of these old-fashioned drive-in restaurants in Kentucky.
The Parkette is a 1950s-style drive-in that was featured on the Food Network show "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives." It has been in business since 1951, and is a Lexington staple. Be sure to try their specialty Big Lex Burger (pictured above), which is two burgers, two slices of American cheese, two strips of bacon, sauteed onions, and barbecue sauce on Texas toast. Bob's has been serving Paducah for 61 years.
