The Night Market is a special monthly event that is great fun for all ages and offers a unique opportunity to meet up with friends, do a little shopping, and breath some fresh night air.

Lexington, Kentucky is set to host an amazing after-hours market this season.

The Night Market is so-called because it starts at 6 p.m. and runs to 10 p.m.

This epic market lets you shop for everything from fresh produce to locally-made jewelry by the light of the moon.

Each market night, the 700 block of Bryan Avenue is temporarily closed and lined on both sides with vendor booths.

It’s not just shops though; everything from beautiful lighting, planters, and temporary art installations are used to create a whimsical ambiance.

Music fills the air as shoppers and performers mingle. The scent of authentic food and the sounds of laughter make the night magical.

Browsing here is a great way to support the community – 60 percent of the vendors live or work in the neighborhood.

There’s also a biergarten, courtesy of Northside Brewery and West Sixth Brewing. Fifty percent of the proceeds from beer sales go to support the market itself, so drink up!

The Night Market will be held on the first Friday of the month starting in May of 2018.
