First Of Its Kind Restaurant In Kentucky

Kentucky’s vast selection of delicious dining options has expanded onto the Maker’s Mark Distillery Property. Officially open as of early April, Star Hill Provisions is a first in many ways. Mainly, thanks to the recent passing of a new law, this charming restaurant is able to mix up Kentucky-inspired cocktails, which of course include its signature bourbon. Oh, and the food is pretty good, too.

Now open at the Loretto location of Maker's Mark Distillery is Star Hill Provisions - an endearing restaurant, eager to serve you a delightful lunch. Star Hill, named after the former farm that occupied the land, is located in the old Master Distiller's house, which has been renovated into a charming dining space.

Chef Newman Miller (who owns Harrison-Smith House in Bardstown), presents a small menu, but it is filled with flavor and Kentucky nuances. He also works with many Maker's Mark employees and farmers, who supply the ingredients for his creations.

The menu includes classics such as the Kentucky Hot Brown and Bourbon Balls, but with Newman's subtle twist. They also serve daily specials that often sell out. The restaurant can also now mix up cocktails that include Maker's Mark and Ale-8-One, both Kentucky staples.

The Maker's Mark property is especially beautiful in the spring and now provides yet another reason to visit. Chef Newman has created a refreshing stop along the Bourbon Trail that's perfect to refuel and sample even more Kentucky flavors.

Star Hill Provisions is now open for lunch Wednesday through Sunday and eagerly awaits your visit. Even if you're not on the trail, this restaurant is worth the trip on its own.
