Billy Ray’s is located at 101 N Front Avenue and is a big neighborhood favorite according to our readers. The homemade chicken and dumplings with fresh sides is a hit. This community hotspot is located at 1793 JH Obryan Avenue. It is known for its tasty chicken, juicy steak, country ham… and mouthwatering pies. 1. Paula’s Hot Biscuit, Hodgenville
This restaurant at 311 W Water Street is a local favorite and gets rave reader reviews. I get complaints every time I don’t mention Paula’s Hot Biscuit… and with good reason. The food here is absolutely phenomenal, from the breakfast, to the lunch, to the pie. The meringue is always fluffy and perfectly browned. You will be served real mashed potatoes, no instant crap, and the brown gravy is perfect. All vegetables are seasoned well, without being overcooked to mush. The meats are tender, and service always comes with a smile. They just reopened in early August, and it was a big welcome back.
