I love writing, art, sunshine, all animals and my incredibly patient husband, who tolerates my "crazy animal lady" side.
Kentucky has an abundance of perfect places to live if you’re ready to take the plunge towards rural living. Big cities can be great, but there are times when we just need to get away from it all. Finding the perfect spot can be a challenge, especially when looking in the Bluegrass State, where beautiful, serene towns are plentiful.
Here are 10 rural towns in Kentucky that are perfect to get away from it all:
This country community has a lot to offer someone who wants the peace and quiet country living can provide, mixed with plenty of city conveniences. You won’t want to wander much further after you’ve taken a look around.
There are under 1000 citizens in this quiet community. A lot of the residents have lived in this town for generations, and have no plans of leaving. Why? Its to peaceful.
With only around 667 residents, this is a relatively peaceful community. Not to mention its convenient proximinity to Mammoth Cave and some other beautiful areas.
This beautiful community is a great place to call home. There's a cozy little diner in town where a lot of the locals stop for lunch. If not there, Betty’s Ok Home Cooking is another favorite for residents and visitors alike. Friendly, country people is what you'll find in Columbia.
Set yourself free from the confines of the big city in this small town of around 400 residents. Not to mention, the Coppertop Bar BQ Brick Oven Pizza place is great!
This small community has under 500 citizens, making it an excellent place to escape the sounds and troubles of the big city.
