Camping is a favorite Kentucky past time, so there are endless options for where to set up camp. Since you’ll spend most of your time outside of your tent, you want the site to be peaceful, safe and beautiful. Outside of Berea, you’ll find the campground that meets all of these criteria and more. HomeGrown HideAways is a “100-acre holler,” as they describe themselves and their passion for their gorgeous farm and campground is evident from the moment you arrive.
HomeGrown HideAways is a farm, campground and event center that understands what true relaxation is all about. Driving onto the grounds is like escaping reality and entering a world that is perfectly natural and untouched.
The owners take much pride in their farm and their love for sharing it shows in the outstanding customer service you'll receive as a camper. They are honest about your experience up front - there are no TVs, no cell service and no internet. As they recently commented on this photo on their Facebook page, "If it's not here, I don't need it." And isn't that what camping is all about?
They offer sites for tent camping, as well as a few unique options like a small cabin up in the trees and a "Yome," or dome shaped, furnished tent. They also provide a kitchen, bath house that is open April - October, several fire pits and of course the breathtaking views from all parts of the farm.
Over the years, the owners have added even more charming sleeping arrangements, such as these vintage campers. Rent one or bring a group and rent all three!
Within walking distance, you'll discover Floyd Branch Reservoir. The views of the mountainous landscape are memorable and unlike any other campgrounds in the state. Berea offers plenty of adventurous and more laid-back activities if you'd like to leave the campground. But why would you?
HomeGrown Hideaways is located outside of Berea at 500 Floyd Branch Rd. You can reach them at (859) 986-3478 or email at designbuild@homegrownhideaways.org.
