Louisville may be our biggest city, but Lexington has a special place in our hearts. Not only is it located in the heart of Horse Country, but there are so many amazing attractions waiting for you in Lexington, Kentucky!
- Kentucky Horse Park. Easily the most famous and iconic attraction in Lexington, every Kentuckian ought to visit the Kentucky Horse Park at least once. The Kentucky Horse Park is located outside of Lexington and is a beautiful destination that attracts visitors from all over the world. Horses are the main feature at the park and you'll see them just about everywhere. Even if you visit just to stroll around the park and see the views and horses, it's worth it. But there are many other things to do and fun activities available for all ages... including horseback riding and even camping!
- Lexington Parks Splash Pads. When the summer heat descends upon the Bluegrass, the best course of action is to take to the water! Lexington is one of the biggest cities in our state, but has such a charming, small town feel. It also has an impressive collection of parks that offer fun for the whole family. Four of these parks have splash pads that are typically open from the end of April through the beginning of October.
- Boone Creek Outdoors. Boone Creek Outdoors is a nature lover's paradise located just south of Lexington, only 20 minutes from downtown. With opportunities for fishing, zip lining, or hiking, this adventure outfitter is *the* place to go for amazing outdoor recreation in Lexington, Kentucky!
