Although fall is quickly approaching, we still have a few days in this week’s weather forecast that will reach the mid-80s, and what better way is there to spend your last summer days than by enjoying a delicious ice cream cone? If you love ice cream as much as I do, you’ll need to check out this awesome new ice cream shop that just opened in Nulu only a few months ago. This small shop serves unique flavors that you won’t find anywhere else in the city. Look for Louisville Cream on East Market Street, right next to Muth’s Candies.
While Louisville Cream previously only offered their amazing flavors at local events, they recently opened a permanent location this June in NuLu.
Inside is a clean and simple sitting area, complete with bar stools to observe those who pass by the windows as you savor your cone. It's the perfect place to cool down in on our last remaining days of the summer season.

They offer so many unique flavors and the option for a pretzel cone!
Pictured above is their cookie butter ice cream in a pretzel cone. Sweet and salty is an amazing flavor combination, and you can mix and match with the unique flavors offered here to get your dream ice cream cone! Some of the interesting flavors that have been featured at Louisville Cream are Avocado Mole, Smoked Butter Pecan, My Boy Bleu, Toasted Rye With Espresso Banana Jam, and Richard Ricotta.
Louisville Cream also offers catering for any special event you may be planning, and they're super accommodating. Since they make small, handmade batches of ice cream, they can cater to any of your dietary restrictions. Louisville Cream can make dairy-free, gluten-free, and soy-free ice cream, and pretty much anything else your heart desires.
Pints are offered not only at Louisville Cream, but at other stores around Louisville, too. Look for these pints at Old Town Wine & Spirits, Rainbow Blossom stores, and Whole Foods stores. The only downside is that you'll have to try not to eat the whole pint all at once.
If you're not in the mood for an ice cream cone, you can try one of their specialty sundaes. Choose from the haute fudge sundae, buttered brioche sundae, balsamic strawberry sundae, or caramelized banana split. They also offer floats, shakes, and a customizable ice cream sandwich. There's something here for everyone to enjoy!
