Surrounded by two legendary lakes: Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley, Land Between the Lakes is a beautiful place of dazzling beaches, vibrant wildflowers, and constellation-dotted skies. It’s a magical region teeming with wildlife, where wild buffalo quite literally roam free. And all of this natural splendor can be enjoyed via the Woodlands Trace National Scenic Byway, a 43-mile route that’s truly one of the most sublime scenic drives in Kentucky – especially during the summer!
