I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
LEGO lovers, unite! If you’re anything like us, you can’t resist the opportunity to play with these delightful, colorful little bricks. In the Bluegrass State, LEGO fans have much to celebrate, because the first-ever LEGO cafe in the US is about to open in Kentucky! The Brickery Cafe & Play is a revolutionary concept that combines a casual cafe, epic LEGO shop, and indoor play place, for a brick-building bonanza sure to delight brick fans young and old.
Newport on the Levee is an amazing destination in Northern Kentucky that's home to some of the state's finest attractions. Anchored by the Newport Aquarium, the Levee has a theatre, bars and restaurants, and myriad local shops and attractions.
With the exception of the "LEGO Movie" showing on its theatre screens, this Northern Kentucky destination, however, has been conspicuously LEGO-less the last few years. But not anymore.
The new business will go into a 3,100-square-foot space next to Velocity Esports. The brainchild of Daniel Johnson, this revolutionary play cafe is a welcome addition to the robust array of attractions at this Northern Kentucky destination.
Part restaurant, part retailer, and part play space, when it opens, The Brickery Cafe & Play will offer a kids play and discovery area, a café that serves light refreshments, and a retail space with new and used LEGO sets for sale.
For a fee, kids will be able to play in the area with large Lego sets from a variety of series, like Super Mario, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Marvel and Disney. Themed sets will rotate regularly, with monthly entry passes available for avid LEGO aficionados.
